Wellington Juggling Collective
Like all respectable collectives, we have cookies.
Te Whaea, the National Dance and Drama Centre, has been hosting a random selection of Wellington jugglers every Wednesday for the last two years. Jugglers of all skill levels gather to learn a new trick, pass, catch, and at times dodge. The plaza’s a wide open space, with tall ceilings and good lighting. Anyone looking for a throw is welcome. Fidel’s on Cuba St is the regular afterwards for pizza and beer.

Where: Te Whaea, Hutchison Road, Newtown.
When: Wednesdays 6:30pm to 8:30pm

Wellington Fire
Fire dance in Wellington is alive and well these days. Since November 2007 the a core group has been practising on Tuesday nights at Frank Kitts park, with permissions from the council and Wellington Waterfront Ltd. Permissions were granted because we presented a risk management plan, and induction information for new comers. Several years prior, a group used to meet there also on Tuesday nights, so the current organizers decided to keep it on that day.
Where: Frank Kitts Park, Waterfront
When: Tuesdays, Dusk
